Learning Goals and Objectives for the BSBA – Accounting Program: Mission Linkage I: Providing a curriculum that allows students to pursue a wide range of career opportunities in accounting GOAL A: DISCIPLINARY COMPETENCE AND KNOWLEDGE INTEGRATION Objective 1: Demonstrate knowledge of core accounting disciplines. Objective 2: Demonstrate knowledge of core business disciplines. Mission Linkage II: Providing students with an understanding of ethical, international, and technological issues facing the accounting profession. GOAL A: ETHICS Objective 1: Demonstrate awareness of current ethical issues in accountancy. Objective 2: Respond appropriately to ethical issues. GOAL B: DIVERSITY Objective 1: Demonstrate awareness of current diversity and international issues in accountancy. Objective 2: Respond appropriately to diversity and international issues. GOAL C: TECHNOLOGICAL COMPETENCY Objective 1: Demonstrate utilization of accounting and business software applications. Objective 2: Effectively use technology in decision making. Mission Linkage III: Developing students’ problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
